The 5th annual IAGTO European Convention (IEC) moves northeast along Spain’s Mediterranean coastline to the vibrant city of Alicante on the Costa Blanca in the Valencia region, taking place from 17-19 May 2027.

IEC is Europe's most productive, enjoyable and affordable golf tourism trade event, attracting some 1000 delegates from more than 40 countries. The convention is open to IAGTO member golf tour operators from around the world, together with golf tourism suppliers, destinations and service providers from across Europe, Africa and the Gulf States.

Buyer delegates are fully accredited IAGTO members from outbound golf travel markets worldwide, all selling European golf destinations. Around 50% of attending buyers rank among the top 22% highest-producing operators in their respective markets. The convention features two full days of highly targeted pre-scheduled meetings, all requested and approved by the delegates themselves.

Perched atop the 170-metre-high Monte Benacantil, the Castillo de Santa Bárbara provides a magnificent backdrop to Alicante's waterfront and will host our spectacular outdoor Welcome Reception on the opening evening. With panoramic views across the Mediterranean and a history spanning more than a millennium, it offers a truly exceptional setting in which to begin IEC 2027.

Alicante’s impressive marina, stretching the length of the city's waterfront, will provide the setting for our Farewell Dinner, where delegates will enjoy spectacular views of the yachts, the vibrant seafront boulevard and the illuminated Castillo de Santa Bárbara overlooking the city.

Buyer delegates will be accommodated in three centrally located hotels, while suppliers are encouraged to stay within easy walking distance of the marina to make the most of the networking opportunities throughout the convention.

The IEC Golf Tournament will be played across four great golf courses, with morning shotgun starts, with lunch provided and a drinks reception included.
