Korineum proudly hosted its 3rd Festival of Golf from 23 - 27 September. Day one saw the arrival of golfers from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, Abu Dhabi, South Cyprus and UK for their pre Tournament practice round on this wonderful championship styled course.

The resort with its breathtaking views of the Five Finger Mountain Range and Mediterranean Sea recently expanded its lavish guest accommodation now offering a range of room categories and suites.

Throughout the week golfers were treated to Evening Entertainment Programs. The first being an open air Buffet offering traditional Cyprus cuisine with local folk dancing. On the final evening players and guests were treated to a Prize Giving Gala Dinner with Live Music from Niyal Ozturk Trio.

The owner of Korineum Golf & Beach Resort and President of the Golf Club Dr. Gunay Çerkez formally addressed guests at the Prize Giving Ceremony. In his address looked back over the development of Korineum since opening in 2007. Each year the Resort continues to expand its facilities from opening as a Boutique hotel; to the spectacular Carob Island restaurant opening its doors; to the addition of ‘Loggerhead’ Sports Bar & Korineum Beach. Followed by the most recent addition of 4 clay Tennis courts to add to the sports facilities on offer. This year work is nearly finished on a new ‘Starter’s Hut’ and golf storage area for the coming golf season.

Meryem Çerkez Resort co-ordinator called upon Vice President Hacer Çerkez, and General Manager Umut Gürtunç to present prizes to the worthy winners. Max Pick Up in his role as Club Captain thanked the visitors for participating in this annual Festival of Golf Tournament week.

Visitors and members all greatly enjoyed playing the course, the facilities and the hospitality they received and all are looking forward to participating in the event again next year.

Everyone agreed on the terrific expansion Korineum Resort has made to date offering members and visitors alike such wonderful experiences to remember.
