Barcelona, 21st October 2013: Barcelona Golf, Catalonia’s No1 inbound Golf Tour Operator recently celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary with a lavish roof-top celebration in the heart of Barcelona city at the luxurious Silken Gran Havana hotel.
Invited VIP guests from the Catalonia Tourist Sector joined Barcelona Golf’s Ian Denham in a unique celebration event, marking its ten extremely successfully years in the industry. Representatives from leading golf clubs such as Peralada, Torremirona, Emporda, Llavaneres, Vallromanes, Club de Golf Barcelona and El Prat were in attendance, while prominent golf hotels such as Park Hotel St. Jorge, Melia Vichy, Peralada Hotel & Spa, La Mola and more where all in attendance at this exclusive party.
Over fifty VIP guests were treated to a unique gastronomic experience from the panoramic rooftop terrace of the Silken Gran Havana, with live music from a Spanish quartet band. The dull hums of atmosphere city below were harmonised by the reflections of the city skyline across the candle lit pool.
Barcelona is a city that is known worldwide for its importance in terms of its culture, finance, commerce and tourism. Mr. Patrick Torrent, Director of Catalunya Tourist Board was in attendance to give a brief destination report, and to personally congratulate Barcelona Golf on all of their successes across the last ten years to help establish Catalonia as a golf destination.
Ian Denham commented on the region that has rapidly grown in popularity with the travelling golfer: “Catalonia in my eyes is a golfers paradise and includes the Costa Brava/Pyrenees in the north, Barcelona city, which is centrally located and finally Costa Dorada to the south.
