The Palmeraie Golf Palace have begun renovations, which should be completed in December 2013 with the aim to preserve the traditional character of the site, giving it a twist of contemporary character.
However the doors of the iconic 5-star remain wide open to customers, as major improvement works of public areas were conducted during the summer of 2013.
Just twenty years after its creation, the Palmeraie Golf Palace, masterpiece of the hospitality group “Palmeraie Hotels & Resorts” started an expected makeover.
"The renovation of the Palmeraie Golf Palace is part of the new strategy of the group which is to provide a new global customer experience. This renovation project aims to preserve the traditional character of the original site whilst giving it a more contemporary character” says the General Director of Group’s Tourism Division.
Indeed, loyal customers of the Palmeraie Golf Palace were impatient to see the iconic 5-star benefit from this makeover. To meet the challenge, the general management decided to entrust this renovation to the interior design firm “Tangente”.
If the reception and lobby retain zellij, marble, carved wood and other carved plaster, the vast dome of the lobby will receive, instead of the famous suspension, a cluster of bright crystal suspensions and new "architectural" lighting, which will highlight the authenticity of the existing decor. The furniture of the reception will be fully replaced by elements both simpler and more contemporary to reflect the work of the zellij.
The 314 rooms and suites will also be refreshed. The decoration of the famous Leroy's Kfé will not be forgotten. Outside, the creation of a vegetal pergola will bring comfort and freshness to the terrace.
The interior of the restaurant will be connected to the bar to create more movement and give a new dynamic to the place.
The Patio decorated in a “bivouac” style will be a perfect meeting point in this new space with sober colors, totally revisited. The Bar will be redecorated with a new friendly chic ambiance in mind.
Outside, the Grill: a new restaurant by the poolside will have a capacity of 110 seats and a new kitchen-bar featuring a plancha, a pizza oven and a juice bar, all in a Caribbean-tinted decor of white, blue and turquoise.
Finally, to accommodate receptions and events of all kinds, the venerable Crystal ballroom will be equipped with large windows opening onto a garden with lush vegetation, as well as a new design with elegant colors featuring the latest in lighting technology. This flexible space, which will have its own kitchen, can receive 300 to 500 people, depending on configuration, gala show or restaurant. It will complete the existing offer of the International Conference Center which has an area of over 4,000 sqm.
