Thanks to the Swedish team formed by Lars Dandanell, Gabriel Dandanell, Zandra Baldemark and Viktor Baldemark, Sweden reached the victory at the First Lauro International Cup with a total of 99 points.

Teams from numerous nationalities gathered last Saturday 24th October at Lauro Golf to represent their respective countries within a framework of cordiality and integration among all the participants.

This special occassion brought together countries such as Spain, England, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Germany, Ireland and of course Sweden. In order to have as mixed parties as possibled, the players of each team were distributed all along the competition.

On arrival, the participants received a complimentary welcome pack courtesy of the club, including invitations to the Arab Baths El Hammam in Malaga. The competition had a shot gun start with an individual Stableford modality. In order to calculate the punctuation of each team, it was taken into account the best three cards of each team; and for the countries with higher representation it was taken the average of their two best teams.

After the tournament at the clubhouse, the participants met with a delicious buffet prepared especially by the Restaurant Lauro Golf which served to entertain the waiting for the prize giving. The Caddy Master Sani Alba was in charge to lead the presentation. Bronze, silver and gold medals were offered to the winners in addition to the cup to the winning country. In third place was Spain, which despite the disadvantage of playing only with 3 members made an average score of 95 points and in silver  position was Ireland with 96 points.

The less fortunate players of the day had their chance to obtain one of the fantastic prizes that were raffled at the end of the presentation. This raffle was possible thaks to the of IBIS Hotel Jerez, Sherry Golf, Alcaidesa Golf, Restaurant Rincón Asturiano, El Hammam Arab Baths, Picasso Museum, Golf Academy Lauro Golf Lauro Golf Paddle-Tennis School among others.

In conclusion it is noticeable that due to the success of this first edition and the excellent comments received by the players, the club has decided to set the date for the second edition.
