- Yas Links Abu Dhabi adds to its growing list of accolades after being awarded Golf Experience of the Year Award for Gulf States -
Managed by the world’s leading golf management company, Troon, Yas Links Abu Dhabi has been awarded International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) Golf Experience of the Year Award for Gulf States.
The 20th annual IAGTO Golf Tourism Awards was focused on recognising the achievements of golf courses and hotels that delivered the best possible experience to visiting golf travellers in the past year.
IAGTO’s 700 plus golf tour operators worldwide voted, taking into consideration factors such as customer satisfaction; quality of golf courses and accommodation; value for money; support from suppliers, tourist boards and airlines; professional conduct of supplies; and accessibility to tee times.
The winners were announced at the Gala Dinner on the final night of the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Marrakech, Morocco, on 17th October, attended by over 1,000 guests from the golf industry.
Opened in 2010, Yas Links Abu Dhabi is currently ranked #44 in Golf Digest’s Top 100. The par 72 18-hole championship course, designed by Kyle Phillips, is one of the few links courses in the region and also boasts a 9-hole Par-3 academy course, floodlit practice facilities and luxurious clubhouse.
