Mie Prefecture is located near the very centre of Japan, in an area blessed with a rich natural landscape of both mountains and coastlines. It is known as a treasure trove of luxurious marbled Japanese beef and seafood, making it a land of culinary delights. World heritage sites of significant cultural and historic value dot the prefecture, including Ise Shrine, the spiritual home of the Japanese people and the world heritage site Kumano Kodo. These are complimented by many leisure facilities, such as hot springs, aquariums and of course over 70 golf courses.
Famously the 2016 G7 Summit of world leaders took place in Ise-Shima, the venue for JGTC. In 2020 we will see golf for the second time in the Olympics in Tokyo so this is the perfect time for Japan golf tourism to open its door more widely to international markets.
Mie plays a leading role in Japan as the most pro-active golf destination with the private and public sectors working together to really welcome international visitors. We can offer not only an incredible range of golfing experiences but also the wonderful living culture, history, and gastronomy. Golf in Mie is extraordinary! Please join JGTC 2018 for a unique experience in Japan.
