The IAGTO Costa Blanca Trophy - Valencia Region took place in Alicante from 22-24 May 2017. This was the third edition of the annual IAGTO Spain Trophy that showcases a different region of the country each year.

Over 60 golf tour operators from key European markets were invited by the host destination with the majority participating in pre and post Fams to inspect the facilities and experience the Costa Blanca golf experience. The Nicklaus designed Levante course at Melia Villaitana was the venue for the golf tournament and at the final day workshop, operators had the opportunity to meet with over 70 golf courses, resorts, hotels, tourist boards and receptive operators from the Costa Blanca and Valencia regions.

The event included some truly authentic Alicante evening functions at San Nicolas Cathedral and La Torre de Rejas, culminating in a spectacular gala dinner and fireworks display at the Castillo Santa Barbara overlooking Alicante, bringing an extremely successful event for both suppliers and operators to a close. We will be announcing the destination for the 2018 IAGTO Spain Trophy shortly.
