Membership Criteria - Golf Website

To be considered for IAGTO membership we will need to have the following information provided:

How established is your website?
We need to get an idea of how established your website has become. Where available, please provide the following information:

  • When was your website launched?
  • How long has the website been fully operational in its current format?
  • How many unique visitors does your website receive? (please be specific when answering, differentiating ‘site visits’ from ‘unique site visits’ and ‘page views’ etc. You can submit whatever data you have available. Please also provide backup documentation for this data where available.
  • If your website is highly rated by Google or other search engines, please provide details (e.g. rankings etc).

What is your business model?
We need to understand precisely the purpose of your website and your company’s business model (e.g. to generate advertising revenue; to sell travel services; to sell other services etc):

  • Please provide details of the website’s owning company and describe the business model for the company and website
  • What is your long term objective?
  • What is your principle reason for wanting to receive IAGTO Approved Website status?
  • Is your website targeted at one country or many? Please provide details
  • Does your company sell golf holidays or golf green fees? If so, do you sell travel services directly to the consumer?

Relevance to the golf tourism industry
IAGTO Approved websites must contribute positively to our industry:

  • Describe the editorial content of your website where appropriate (i.e. where relevant to the golf tourism industry)
  • Are you already working with existing IAGTO members who would be able to provide recommendations?
