International Association of Golf Tour Operators Extends Top Honours to Florida’s Most Legendary Golf Resort

Palm Beach Gardens, FL (November 23, 2006) – The International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) bestowed the 2007 Golf Resort of the Year - North America Award upon PGA National Resort & Spa in a special ceremony in Andalucia, Spain today. There are over 1,000 golf resorts in the United States alone and an estimated 2,000 worldwide; IAGTO’s 250 golf tour operators from 40 different countries cast their votes from a list of 16 final nominees.

The Golf Resort of the Year Award is given to three regions: North America, Europe and the Rest of the World.. The golf resort in each of the three regions with the highest average ranking receives the accolade. Operators were asked to consider various criteria including customer satisfaction, course condition, accommodations, value, accessibility to tee times and quality of service.
