New magazine to be launched in Thailand

08 March 2010

Thai Golf News is a new English magazine being launched at the end of March across Thailand on a monthly basis.

The A3 size magazine is being printed by the Bangkok Post, and will be distributed FREE to selected golf courses, leading hotels, through tour operators, retailers, restaurants, bars and pubs plus airlines and financial institutions.

Regular features will include local and international news, a Thai course report, golf real estate, overseas golf course destinations, recruitment and golfing tips.

Each issue will also feature Asian Tour reports on the players and forthcoming tournaments, along with Ross Fisher’s caddie, who will be filing a behind the scenes report at all the majors.

Editor Mike Bridge, who is also the Director of the International Golf Festivals held in Malaysia said,‘We wanted to provide our readers with loads useful news and information about the game of golf, but in a more modern style. Photos will be key, and we are using top quality paper to ensure that the magazine can portray the wonderful images of the courses here in Thailand and overseas at their very best.’

In the first issue there are reports from the recent Asian leg of the LGPA tour and the Maybank Malaysian Open, plus an exclusive interview with Asian Player of the year Thongchai Jaidee.

Thai Golf News would like all golf clubs, manufacturers and tourist boards to keep them up to date with any news in your region. editor@thaigolfnews.com
